Mike directed us to what is reported to be a witch's grave and he pointed out that there used to be a chain around the head stone. It is said that whoever should step inside the chain would be cursed. Of course he told us this AFTER we went for a closer look to see who was buried beneath this stone...... And as luck would have it we did get a blow out on the 401 on our way home......There just could be some truth to this legend.

Here is another shot of the legendary witch's grave. Notice the 4 poles surounding the grave. Mike told us that over time the chain that was around the grave had corroded and was taken away...but the poles still remain.

Another shot of the supposed witch's grave showing the four poles that still stand today. On the stone it reads:

Maria Armitage
Daughter Edw. Armitage Esq
Wife of Maurice S Baldwin
Born Nov 25, 1840
Married Sept 4, 1861
Died Feb 10, 1863

After touring some of the other haunted spots in St Thomas we returned to the cemetery to see what kind of night time shots we could get. Near the back of the cemetery was the most active for orb shots, however we did have an angel spirit with us that shows as a blue orb.

We took this shot of the witch's grave and again we had our angel spirit with us along with some other orbs around the grave. When we first looked at this picture we thought we had some really good spirit activity, but it turned out to be the branches from the big old tree that sits in the middle of the grave yard. The tree seems to be pretty spooky at night.

We went further back in the cemetery, almost to the last line of tombstones when we felt a very cold spot. After viewing the photo we know why it was so cold. Some of the orbs in this shot are really close and quite defined.

Earlier in the day when we were here the sun was shining through the trees along the edge of the cemetery, but there seemed to be a mist coming through. The big white tomb marker to your right drew us to it for some reason earlier and when we put our hands near it we got the static feelings coming from the stone. When we returned and took this shot there was a big orb right beside the tombstone. And when we went up to it we discovered heat coming from it along with a spider web sensation around the arms and face.

Just to the left of the previous picture's location we took this shot showing a very energized orb and a big one on the tree. The bench you see is not a bench at all but a tomb marker for a burial site. We thought this to be very unusual but unique in its own way.

Just before we left we took this picture of the old church with its steeple lit up. There's nothing paranormal in this picture, but we will remember this church for a long time to come. For some reason the spirits here wanted us to capture what it was really like back in days gone by.
This church has a story to tell and if I lived in this area I would do the history of this place and try to solve the puzzle of the windows the best I could. One thing is for sure, I will return to this place in the future.
If you should ever be in St.Thomas Ontario and have a chance to see this place we are sure you wont go away disappointed.......Its worth the visit.
