 St Catharines , Ontario  We were invited to go out to St Catharines and check out an old tunnel that is commonly referred to as the Blue Ghost Tunnel. It has been said that the spirit of a blue ghost dog guards the entrance to this tunnel, so of course we just had to go. The invitation was offered by a fellow by the name of Tom who sent us to his friend's site
for directions and the history of the tunnel. So we'd like to say thank you to Russ for excellent directions. And the history was quite fascinating as well.  This was the first thing we saw. A railroad bridge running over the dirt road that we had to walk down to get to the tunnel.  Just before crossing under the bridge we turned and clicked another shot. We didn't realize until later just how far off the bridge really was.  We continuted walking along the dirt road and found what some have called the pump house. This building was used to control the water level in the canal when this was part of the welland locks. For some reason the flash didn't go off.
